An Update is Needed

Wow, it has been way to long since I last wrote on here. I guess I never thought of writing in here over the summer, although I think it could be good for me. Some things have changed over the past month or so, and I better catch up.

I still have not found a job. I would say I have applied upwards of 30 places, with a total of 1 interview, and no job offer. It's very frustrating, and I can honestly say I have never been this bored in my life. This summer has been the hardest thing for me, because I have nothing to do! I have continued to apply to new places, and I hope something shows up soon. My daily schedule consists of waking up, working out, showering, and then hanging out the rest of the day. Friday and Saturday nights I still volunteer at the zoo, which is a great break for me. It gets me out of the house and lets me interact with people. I also go over to my parents house on Fridays and clean their house for them, and they pay me. It's a way I can make some sort of money. Other than that, I really don't do much. It's very hard.. but I know God has a plan for me, and maybe this is a calm before I get a job and school starts up. Maybe he's giving me a break before I'm complaining again that things are too chaotic. :)

On a happier note, Chris got a promotion at work! He is a Night Assistant Manager at QT! He started this past weekend, and so far he loves it. It's going to take him some time to adjust to his new schedule, since he works 10pm-7am, five nights a week. Financially, this a big thing for us. It will help us out tremendously.. Now if only I could find a steady job, we would be all set. :)

Wedding plans are great! I'm picking up my dress in a week.. going to see if I need it altered. In two weeks we're ordering invitations and favors. In about a month we're meeting with the caterer. Other than that, we're pretty much done with the wedding. Thank God! I mean, this process has been a lot of fun, but also very tiring. I am so ready for October 24th to come, so Chris and I can FINALLY be married, and move on with life. It can't come soon enough.

I'm moving back home a month from today. We're moving all the furniture and decor over to Chris's apartment (our future apartment), and I'm taking just the basics over to my parents house. I think this move will keep me busy for the next month, so I am grateful for that! We're going to clean up Chris's apartment, and decorate before we move in together. If anyone needs a futon, let me know. ;)

That's about all that's been going on. It's crazy how much things can change in just a month's time! I think I will try to update this blog more often.. I feel better with words on a screen, so maybe I'm not stressing as much. Anyway, off I go!
